The new Qliro experience

Qliro launched a brand-new app, and I was responsible for the content strategy and UX writing. Collaborating closely with product designers, I refined UX flows and designed a fresh concept for the landing page. Just a week after launch, the app became the most popular in the finance category on the App Store.

Background

Qliro is a fintech company. At the time, the consumer app featured three main products—Payments, Savings, and Loans—and later included partnerships like Deedster and Insurley. The new app launched in December 2019.

Problem to solve

Research revealed that most Qliro users were only familiar with one product, usually Payments, which was the core service. And those who knew about more products tended to not use them, even if they were relevant for them. Our goal was therefore to unify these experiences into one cohesive Qliro app and to improve the awareness of all Qliro’s services.

What we did

This was a large project, so we tackled it in phases. But over all, we redesigned all the user flows and I rewrote every piece of content with a friendly and helpful tone. We also ensured that the different experiences were seamlessly connected within the app.

We designed a new landing page, and I came up with the idea of “content cards”—dedicated spaces to highlight everything users could do with the app. Working with the dev team, I introduced a light version of personalization, ensuring that users saw relevant information based on their activity history.

Additionally, we also redid the website (logged out version) and wrote all copy. For the web app, the copy was reflected from native app.

User research

Throughout the design process, we conducted research to gather valuable user feedback. User interviews revealed that people would interact with more Qliro features if they just were aware of them and found them easy to use. I tested the landing page and the nanning in the navigation bar to ensure clarity, and alongside the Product Designer, we arranged user tests to refine the Payment Flows.
